Aydın Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Agriculture was established on June 27,1987 as affiliated to Dokuz Eylül University and with a change made on July 11, 1992 it was included in Aydın Adnan Menderes University. Education and Training started in 1993-1994. As a mission, the faculty has undertaken the responsibility for the development of learning and expertise issues in order to sustain biological resources and biological production. This responsibility covers broad subjects related to agriculture such as biotechnology, food industry and environmental issues. Cooperation and implementation between disciplines are the most important factors in the research and educational activities of the faculty, and the faculty cooperates with the sector and society. The current undergraduate programmes consist of Horticulture, Plant Protection, Landscape Architecture, Aquaculture Engineering, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Machinery, Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Field Crops, Soil and Plant Nutrition, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Biotechnology and Animal Science. 114 academic staff and 35 administrative staff work and a total of 1085 students are studying at the faculty.
