Faculty of Veterinary Medicine 2022-2023 Academic Year Graduation and Vocational Oath Ceremony took place on May 18, 2023.
To the Graduation Ceremony; Our University Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, Aydın Deputy Governor and Efeler District Governor İlker Arıkan, Mansion Mayor Vet. Physician Nuri Güler, Vice Rectors of our University Prof. Dr. Cemal İyem and Prof. Dr. Nuh Kılıç, General Secretary V.Dr. Instructor Ahmet Fatih Hacıyusufoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Cavit Kum, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Gençsoylu, Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Assist. Hamit Eray Yeşilçayır, Chairman of the Aydın Chamber of Veterinarians, Vet. Physician Cemil Şahin, Chairman of the Izmir Chamber of Veterinarians, Vet. Physician Selim Özkan, Aydın Efeler District Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mehmet Esen, Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Animal Health and Breeding Branch Manager Ahmet Gezman, Vice Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Bülent Ulutaş, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Assoc. Dr. Göksel Erbaş, academic and administrative staff, students and their families.
After the moment of silence and the National Anthem, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, who made the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Cavit Kum said, “Our faculty has an important place among the 29 active Veterinary Faculties in our country, with its position in the top 5 in 2022. With the number of students per academic staff, its young and dynamic structure, its vision and mission, it aims at an integrated, unifying, participatory education program with all of its academic and administrative staff.” said.
Stating that the students have strong personality, sufficient professional knowledge and skills, Prof. Dr. Cavit Kum said, “Our hope is that you become successful veterinarians in your profession and social life, befitting the Contemporary Republic of Turkey, connected to your parents who raised you. Set an example for your environment with a contemporary lifestyle that adheres to Atatürk's principles and reforms. The veterinary profession requires constant effort, do not spare your effort.” After his speech, he concluded his speech by congratulating the graduate students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Aydın Chamber of Veterinarians Chairman Cemil Şahin said, “When we say that the veterinary profession is the only profession that has no equal, we do not engage in animosity. Veterinary Medicine is the only profession in the world that provides services in all fields of food safety, food health, environmental health, animal and public health. May your path be clear and your conscience always be your companion on this difficult and blessed veterinary path. I greet you with respect and love.” said.
Starting his speech by stating that the students made an important start by taking their professional oaths, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent said, “Today, I hope you have taken on a separate responsibility in your profession by taking an oath in our faculty, which is one of the most distinguished schools in our country. As a veterinarian who is aware of the scientific and ethical values and conscientious convictions of your profession, I wish you success in your future life.” said.
Advice to the students to set appropriate and correct targets for the next process, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent said, “I hope we will continue to work and create value for the revival of our country, nation and civilization with the great education army behind us. Remember, you will represent Aydın Adnan Menderes University in every field you work in; We expect a separate effort from you in this regard. Your responsibility is great.” After his statements, “Always be diligent in your profession, be loyal, but most importantly, be fair. Remember that the earth and the heavens stand by justice. I entrust you to God. May the Lord be your helper; Good luck with your graduation.” said.
The Graduation Ceremony ended with a group photo shoot after the students were given their diplomas.
